Cover-ly Love

Hi friends!
Sending a quick note to share a peek at the cover of my next book, The Florentine Entanglement, which comes out January 8, 2026. You can read a bit about the how it came together in this post on my blog. I hope you enjoy the twists and intrigue of this book as much as I enjoyed writing it—these characters surprising me utterly with the choices they make and the secrets they keep. I’ve posted the synopsis from the back cover of the book below.

When book launch plans come together you’ll be the first to know! If you think your book club might want to put The Florentine Entanglement on your list, you know I’d love to come for the discussion. You can reach me here to set something up.

Finally, I’m sending lots of love and every best wish to Raven Wilson, my wonderful book rep and founder of the Hot Olive Agency, who’s getting married this weekend in Atlanta. Here’s to eons of happiness to Raven and Tyler, two wonderful human beings who’ve made the loveliest kind of love match.

Happy fall, y’all. And as always, your interest and support of my books mean the world to me.
Pam

From the back cover of The Florentine Entanglement

Art student Eleanor has been trapped in fascist Italy since 1939, forced into hiding, camouflaging her identity. At war’s end, she meets intelligence officer Talbot who’s captivated by her story, her intellect, and her beauty. He believes he can free her of her pervasive melancholy over all the war forced her to abandon. They marry and move to Washington DC, where he joins the fledgling CIA and she struggles to find her footing in a city with a rhythm and artistic sensibility so unlike lyrical Florence. As Talbot rises in the CIA, their marriage frays and he seeks attention from the string of young secretaries assigned to work for him. He blames his infidelity on Eleanor—her remote nature, her disinterest in him. But when a mission he oversees—the flight of a U-2 spy plane over the Soviet Union—fails horribly, his unsavory conduct is exposed, putting his career and freedom in jeopardy. As his life unravels, Eleanor has a choice to make that may require her to reveal explosive secrets of her own.

From 2025 Georgia Author of the Year nominee Pamela Norsworthy comes heart-pounding historical fiction that interweaves the story of a teetering marriage and the infamous U-2 incident that redefined the stakes of the Cold War.
