Y’all, it has been A SUMMER. The photo above comes from a bookclub I attended a few weeks ago—a group that (unbeknownst to me) has met for years just a few minutes away from my house! I’ve peeked at their list of best-loved books and let’s just say they’ve read EVERYTHING— including WAR BONDS! While that was the most convenient book night I’ve ever done, recent months have found us hopscotching down the East Coast for events—INCLUDING two wonderful nights with high school friends at our class reunion outside DC. Later this month, we’ll head to Mississippi for a book event that will allow time for lots of visits with friends and extended family. Thanks to all the folks who’ve reached me through my website to invite me to their book gatherings and bookstores. Without fail, great conversation, surprising insight, and lots of laughter punctuate every one of these events—along with new titles to add to my list of must-read books. The other little thing that’s made this summer a humdinger is writing THE END on a new manuscript. I’ve hunkered down just about every day to polish it up—and still, there’s more to tweak and consider. Learn more about my third book here.
