I’ll be in Charlottesville, Virginia at Commerce Street Books on June 13 for a conversation on Florentine with my friend, lawyer and history lover Brad Marsh. So grateful every time I get to visit the beloved C’ville where I went to college—especially this time when I’ll be meeting up with several of my college roomies. The issues in my third book, Providencia seem to become more relevant everyday. It’s a look at Chile just before, then after the fascist takeover of Augusto Pinochet in 1973. I have to remind myself to get my nose out of the research and write the dang story. It’s a complex one that I hope you’ll embrace as you have its literary predecessors.
